This policy explains how personal data is handled when you visit the NEO-LIFE project website (neolifemsca.eu), in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Quantorio, partner of the NEO-LIFE consortium (Horizon Europe, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Staff Exchanges, grant agreement 101236848). 2. What data is processed and why

Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. When you request a page, the hosting servers automatically record technical data such as your IP address, date and time, requested page, referring page and browser type. This data is used to deliver, operate and secure the website. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Visitor statistics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics (Cloudflare, Inc.) to count page views and visits. It does not use cookies or local storage and does not track individual visitors across websites. When a page loads, a small script sends technical data (such as the page address, referrer, browser type and page load time) to Cloudflare, which we only see as aggregated statistics. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the website is used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We do not collect your name, email address or any other data that identifies you, and the website has no user accounts or contact form.

3. Third-party content

Some parts of the website are loaded from external providers. When your browser loads them, your IP address and basic technical data are sent to those providers:

• Share buttons on news posts, provided by AddToAny.

Fonts are served directly from this website; no request is made to Google Fonts. Links to other websites (for example Zenodo or social networks) are governed by the privacy policies of those websites.

4. Cookies

This website does not set cookies for analytics or advertising. Third-party content, such as the share buttons, may set its own cookies, as described by its provider.

5. How long data is kept

Server log and statistics data is kept by the providers above only for as long as needed for the purposes described, according to their retention periods.

6. Transfers outside the EU

Some of the providers above may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Such transfers rely on the safeguards provided under the GDPR, such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses, as applicable to each provider.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email info@quantorio.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
